A great way for the family to see the Redwoods up close from a charming old steam train, Roaring Camp Railroads offers steam train trips around Santa Cruz. Travel through towering redwood groves with breath taking scenery, or depart from the majestic Santa Cruz mountains, through the redwoods and end up at the beautiful Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The Roaring Camp itself is also a lovely scenic spot to take a walk or have a picnic. Regular events are held such as 'Day Out With Thomas' where you get to take a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine himself and enjoy a fun-filled day of activities.
