This museum is a lovely place for a family visit and is packed with lots of fascinating artefacts, displays and exhibitions in celebration of the history of American Indian Culture. There are plenty of hands-on galleries for kids offering interactive fun and the museum runs great events many of which are designed to offer learning opportunities to families.

From I-10 Heading West Exit 7th STREET, and turn RIGHT (north). Turn LEFT (west) at the first major intersection, McDowell Road. You’ll need to move across 7th Street quickly to reach the left turn lanes onto McDowell Road. Turn RIGHT (north) on Central Avenue. Turn RIGHT (east) into the Heard Museum.
