About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

Explore the museum of the New York City Fire Department and take an exciting journey through the history of fire-fighting in the Big Apple. Both you and the kids can try on real fire-fighting gear and marvel at the many exhibits, from old horse-drawn fire trucks to the modern red fire trucks we see today. Tours are given by former fire fighters from the department so you get a real insight into the life and work of a NYC firefighter. The second floor is dedicated to 9-11 and is a commemorative and moving tribute to those who lost their lives in the tragedy. An active firehouse from 1904 to 1959, the museum offers a fascinating day out for all of the family.
