About This AttractionSuggest an Edit

For a fun-filled day for all animal lovers out there, New York's Central Park Zoo is the perfect family destination. Many movie fans will remember Madagascar, where 4 unwitting animals escape from this word-renowned zoo with no real idea of what life in the wild is really like!Visitors can encounter more than 1400 creatures in a mix of habitats, from leaping lemurs and exotic birds in the tropical rain-forest to the icy Antarctica exhibit to view penguins and other colder clime creatures. A big favorite is the glass-sided sea lion pool where you can watch these sleek, playful mammals in action. From big cats in their evergreen habitat, to a turf of penguins in their chilly indoor colony, Central Park zoo houses an amazing variety of animals that will make your day unforgettable. For a rest-stop from the excitement, beautiful lush gardens provide a mellow spot to relax in. Little ones can get close to farm animals and feed the sheep and pot-bellied pigs at the newly added Tisch Children's Zoo. See ancient oak trees in the magical Enchanted Forest and in the Central Aviary, you can spy live turtles and croaking frogs. With daily shows in one of two theaters, a Musical Clock with clockwork creatures playing a host of cheerful tunes throughout the day and an eye-popping 4-D Theater, families are spoilt for choice at this iconic zoo.
