A scenic shoreline park with a lovely beach, Castle Island Park is also one of the oldest military sites in America, housing an impressive pentagonal building, the Fort of Independence. The perfect place to kick back and relax, there are plenty of open grassy spaces, a pier for a spot of fishing and a wonderful beach to catch some rays. There are great views of Boston Harbor and for any aviation fans, you can see the planes taking off from Boston airport.
